'My first day and I already feel like I can make plenty of friends here!' was Tino's first thought as he made his way through the hallway to his very first class of his brand new school. He quite honestly forgot what class it was as well as all of his books in his excitement for new beginnings. At least he remembered a notebook and pen so he could take plenty of notes, though the thought of sharing a book with someone and making a new friend that way crossed his mind. As well as having to ask for a pencil if keeping his notes in pen was too difficult. Or dropping his pen and having to ask someone to pick it up. In short, Tino's mind was full of ways to meet people, not do well in school, but that didn't mean he wasn't going to take it seriously. Helping someone study was another way to become their friend, after all.
Tino kept repeating the room number in his head over and over again so he wouldn't get lost. It was strange, really, how he could easily navigate his way around a city but could get lost in a second in a single - albeit large - building. Though he knew he would eventually find his way around and decided not to stop and ask anyone for directions, knowing it would be better for him in the long run if he could quickly do it himself; he always thinks that way, however.
Luckily for Tino his first class wasn't too hard to find as it was only on the second floor, and he made it with time to spare. There weren't many people in the room since it wasn't exactly time for class yet, but he smiled nonetheless when he saw he wasn't alone. With a soft, content sigh he headed for a seat close to the people that were already there, and waited for a break in the conversation to speak. "Hello there, my name is Tino, I'm new here," he introduced himself in his usual chipper way. "It's nice to meet you." He then gave a smile, hoping they ended up being nice people and not like the bullies at his last school. Not only for his sake, but their own.

Berwald sat in the back of the class, keeping to himself as usual, making a valiant attempt at studying the previous day's lesson, when upon his ears fell a somewhat familiar sound. The Swede looked up, frowning slightly, in the direction of the chipper voice. Hardly anyone he knew other than himself was so cheery in the mornings, and even he could barely be called so considering his rather stoic demeanor. Cheer or no cheer, though, Berwald was undoubtedly a morning person. It was nice to hear someone else of the same temperament.
It didn't take him too long to pin the voice to one of the newer boys at the dormitory, the one from Finland. So his name was Tino? Sort of an uncommon name, he supposed. But then, he thought with a slight chuckle, so was Berwald. He of all people had no place to judge anyone's name.
Adjusting his glasses, the Swede quietly closed his book and observed, finding that watching the Finn adjust was a far more entertaining venue than watching words swim around on a page. He hoped the smaller youth had a better time of it than he had, although Tino already had an advantage with that sweet face and cheery attitude of his. He'd be popular with the girls, that was for certain. The boys, perhaps not so much.
To himself, Berwald quietly decided for the moment he would keep an eye on this one, just in case. The others here were all too intimidated by him to tease him, or even to get to know him, but someone who appeared as soft and waifish as the Finn wouldn't be so lucky if there were any bullies around.

With a groan, Lukas picked up all his belongings from where he sat in the teacher's lounge. Time for his first class was starting to tick down. While being fashionably late wasn't an issue for the Norwegian, it would look somewhat horrid on his already tattered employment history if he didn't show up on time to his classes.
In all honesty, the lounge wasn't the first place the man had thought to sleep that night. However, papers had to be graded, class plan had to be made, and...well, Lukas was just far too lazy to walk home last night. His work, did get done however. Though it was only thanks to his colleagues waking him when they entered.
Standing up with materials in hand, he made his way out the door. Stopping briefly in front of the mirror by the sink to flatten his hair with his free hand. Of course, there was that one piece that would never stay flat no matter how hard he tried. It annoyed him slightly, but Lukas had learned to give up in the attempt to keep his hair straight.
It wasn't long before he ended up at his classroom, noting that he was actually rather early for once. And without even acknowledging the students inside, he merely walked over to his desk and took his seat. Examining the materials for the lesson that day.
[OOC: Urp, sorry I'm late. Been meaning to jump in here for awhile <3]

"Uhh..." Tino just sort of backed away in his seat with a nervous smile when he got no response from the students he said hello to, but instead got a strange stare from them. Was it his accent, the way he introduced himself, the way he looked? He really couldn't tell which of the many thoughts that went through his head were true, but for his own sake he decided it would better to just turn around and face forward, or maybe perhaps change seats. The Finnish boy wasn't going to allow his first awkward introduction let him down, though, and he soon turned to try and say hello to someone else. The only problem? There really weren't anymore people around. That caused Tino to sigh, finally showing his first bit of disappointment in the day. Okay, so maybe it wasn't quite going as well as he thought it was so far, but he still had plenty of time to turn it around.
Tino smiled to himself and sat up straight, deciding to try again. Truly, not much could get him down or keep him from trying again and again until he succeeded. And so, he looked around for someone else to talk to, his eyes stopping on a rather tall boy in the back of the room. A boy that seemed to have been already looking at him...was he watching him? A shiver went down Tino's spine, an uncomfortable one at the thought of those frightening eyes on him. But one couldn't judge a book by its cover, as they said. He switched seats, smiling cheerfully as he went to the back of the class to introduce himself once again. Hopefully this time it would be a success.
"Good morning," Tino greeted with his usual chipper tone. "My name is Tino. What's your name?" He tried to remain calm even as he looked at the other student's daunting yet striking features. He soon found himself wanting to talk more, however, as he always did when he was nervous. 'At least let him introduce himself first,' he reprimanded himself.
Unfortunately with how quiet the man was, he didn't even notice the teacher enter the room.

Well, that was certainly forward of him. Berwald blinked up at the Finn in mild surprise, sparing a glance past him at the teacher's entrance before focusing again on the other boy. Tino reminded him of someone, though at the moment he couldn't quite place who. He almost wanted to say it was Matthew -- they had the same wide violet eyes, the same soft and friendly features, although he had to admit the Finn's smile far more resembled Alfred's, as well as his general outgoing demeanor. It was as endearing on the Finn as it was on either twin, and yet at the same time that wasn't quite what struck him as familiar.
Berwald, however, set such thoughts aside for the moment, adjusting his glasses and holding out a hand for the Finn to shake, a small and hopefully friendly smile on his face. "Name's Sven. S'nice t'make y'r acquaint'nce. Y'just moved in, right?"
He hoped the boy hadn't stayed up too late just yet. Tino didn't look like he'd stand a chance against the Shadows, considering how much he was trembling just from talking to Berwald. The Swede had seen things in the time between days that were far more terrifying than he could ever be considered. Then again, especially around here, things weren't always what they seemed.

Having looked over the lesson plan, Lukas set his head down for a quick nap. The bell had yet to ring and he felt confident that everything was in order for the day. Simply put, Lukas didn't believe that teaching required any sort of true brain power. There may have been others that would disagree with the Norwegian, but teaching to him was just having a conversation with a group of indaviduals and introducing said indavidiuals to information they might have not been aware of. A group excercise, if you will.
The nap was not going as planned, however. His ears decided to wander and he could make out conversations between different students. There were a few voices Lukas never thought he would hear in a classroom.
Sure enough, when he looked up, there were a few fairies surrounding a tall student in the classroom. The one who was talking to the shorter and seemingly new one. His eyes just stared at the pair, or more specifically, on the fairies flying around them.
Well, this is going to be interesting... he thought to himself, continuing to hold his gaze. [/blockquote]
